Doretta Thompson, CAPA

Doretta recently retired as Director of Social Impact at Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada where she led a comprehensive, international award-winning Financial Literacy program. She has served in an advisory capacity to national financial literacy initiatives, including those of the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada and Excellence Canada, and continues to serve on FCAC’s Financial Literacy Working Group for Indigenous People.   

Doretta holds a Certified Aboriginal Professional Administrator designation from Aboriginal Finance Officers of Canada (AFOA Canada). She currently serves on AFOA Canada’s Board of Directors, and is Vice Chair of the Indigenous Learning Centre. She is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her voluntary work.
