Carolyn Fallis, CFP®, CPA, CA, FP Canada™ Fellow
Chair
Carolyn is a Professor of Financial Planning at the School of Accounting and Finance at George Brown College. In her role, Carolyn is responsible for setting the curriculum and teaching income tax and advanced financial planning courses across several programs within the School of Accounting and Finance. Carolyn holds the CPA designation, a Master of Taxation (MTax) as well as CFP® certification.
Upon completion of her MTax, Carolyn returned to teaching at the post-secondary level after five years as Director, Professional & Student Affairs at Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC), the predecessor organization to FP Canada™. At FPSC, Carolyn was responsible for both pre-and post-certification education requirements. Before her roles in education and certification, she held various financial management positions in the financial services industry. Carolyn continues to provide advice only financial planning and income tax engagements to a small client base.
Over the years, Carolyn has been selected to participate in many volunteer committees in the global Financial Planning Community. She currently serves as the Chair, Education Advisory Committee for Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB) and has recently served on the Board of Directors of FP Canada. Carolyn was awarded the FP Canada Fellow distinction in 2011 for her contributions to the profession of financial planning.
